Watch both instruction videos before purchasing or installing. Do not use threadlocker, including Loctite, on this product.
Installation requires destroying the original OEM case to remove its molded-in key blade. The blade may pull free or require cutting the case. Reusing the original blade does not require cutting a new key.
The transponder is often glued in place. Removal can require cutting the case and/or applying heat and may be difficult. A damaged transponder can prevent the vehicle from starting. AJT Design does not accept responsibility for transponders damaged during removal.
To keep the original case and key intact, an additional OEM shell/key can be purchased and its key cut. Alternatively, the integrated blade can be omitted and a separate OEM valet key or Toyota G-chip key (part number 89785-08040) used. An additional G-chip key must be cut and programmed by a dealer or locksmith.
